Peak season, 4th of July events, pool season in full swing, dark sky stargazing, Perseid meteor shower buildup
Tip: Book early - July weekends sell out.
August
58–77°F, warm days
Perseid meteor shower (Aug 11–13), county fairs, blueberry season, excellent kayaking
Tip: Best month for dark sky viewing.
September
48–68°F, crisp
Early fall foliage begins, Lancaster Fair, thinner crowds, cooler hiking, apple season
Tip: Peak foliage starts late September.
October (Early)
38–58°F, cool
Peak fall foliage, Columbus Day weekend, dramatic mountain colors, quiet season closing
